I enjoyed reminiscing on how I used to get the information I needed to teach.

When I first started teaching, you had to hope your school had purchased some resources or do the long drive to Dominie’s at Brookvale (Sydneysiders will understand), to buy the resources yourself. You relied on agreeable work colleagues for face to face advice and a handful of Ex-College friends, in the same KLA for advice over the phone.

Then the internet arrived and you could search for information. You could get advice , by email from work colleagues, the Ex-college friends and your expanding network of contacts at other schools.

Now, the resources come to you by joining forums and discussion groups. You are not limited to people you know in your local area for advice but people all over the world. Resource Holy Grail, The PLN.
